Who are the Hart brothers anyway? This page will fill you in a little.
Dave and Brady switched from traditional Verizon phone service to AT&T CallVantage internet-based phone service. Getting this right was trickier than Dave hoped, so he wrote up some instructions for others with a static address block wishing to use CallVantage or another VoIP service using the D-Link DVG-1120M VoIP voice adapter (which connects to a traditional or "POTS" phone).

A few pictures posted in August 2001: Reinstalling the rack enclosure and replacing a battery in the UPS providing backup power to the satellite TV and stereo stack.
A new toy for Dave on the last day of May 2001: a wireless access point for untangled computing.
2000 saw Brady busy with a variety of Bob Vila-esque projects. Most recent is the downstairs Bathroom, completely redone. Between trips in 2000, Brady installed the birdseye maple floor with walnut inlays. Also a new bird and squirrel feeder, which got plenty of traffic the first morning after it was built.
First to be completed was construction and installation of a narrow, tall shelf unit to hold a stack of batteries on top of Dave's uninterruptible power supply for hartbrothers.com, davehart.net, bradyhart.com, etc. This reclaimed space in the tiny furnace closet for the category 5 wiring project now in progress.
But what fun is a UPS without a generator to outlast those really long utility failures that are thankfully rare so far here in Redmond?
Brady also built a conduit to connect the computer enclosure with the nearby wiring closet.
New addition to our network furniture added July 2000. We have many images of our new 25" rack mount network cabinet.
In January 2000, Brady and Dave once again visited Central America with the volunteer healthcare group Northeast VOSH. Here's the full report on the excursion, thanks to lots of hard work by Brady and a wee bit of programming by Dave. And in January 2001 we went to Monimbo, Nicaragua with NEVOSH.
