This lady and her husband, a gemologist, smuggle Burmese jade out of Myanmar through mountainous borders on the backs of elephants.  At the border with Thailand, the Thai government inspects the cargo, taxes and duties are paid, and the commodity is legal for use.  Here she is showing the spectrum of jadeite available to discriminating customers.  Nancy liked every color, and had a bracelet fashioned to show them all off.
