Mom looks skeptical, a body that doesn't rot?

The foyer is impressive enough.

This is what the monk looked like in life, and legend has it that his mortal coil has not rotted at all, a miracle.

Here is his sarcophagus, behind glass.  The glass reflects the bright mirror lined room behind, making it almost impossible to see, let alone photograph.  You may notice a black orb on the left side of the glass domed coffin in the middle.  That is the monks head.  Amazing?  Dunno.  I suspected that the glass domed effect is actually part of a complete glass capsule, which would allow the body to be kept in a vaccuum, or in an inert gas.  Dave pointed out that we couldn't tell whether the body had rotted or not.  And Dad noticed that they were burning incense in a room with mirrored walls, ceiling and columns, thus it was "All smoke and mirrors."

Many solid gold buddha images encrusted with diamonds populated the temple.  each sat on top of the safe it was placed in during the night.

Mr. Beauchamp and Brady talk to a gentleman from Chehalis, WA, USA, who has taken a Thai wife and lives like a king in Thailand off his $3,000 a month military pension.  He was obviously glad to run into a few yanks who spoke his native tongue.
