$195 D-Link 802.11b access point

My first access point, an Aironet 4800E, cost over $1000 new.  This one is very comparable except for the capability of hooking up external antennas.  Cisco bought Aironet and re-released the 4800E as the Cisco Aironet 340 Access Point.
