This drawing was
completed by Brady in 1987 in conjunction with an extension course taught by a Maryland
Institute, College of Art instructor at the Easton Academy of the Arts in Easton, MD.
It is a sepia and white conte crayon study of drapery folds as created by a
reclining female figure. It took first place for the senior drawing category at the
annual Kent County High School Art Show in 1988. It later took first place in the
drawing category at an exhibit in Wye Mills, MD at Chesapeake college. |

Doodling since
drooling, Brady likes to draw. His early efforts included a cartoon strip entitled
Farmer Flip featuring a bubble shaped farmer and his trusty talking rabbit.
This was done at the tender age of eight. Drawing
media explored include:
Pencil
Pen and Ink
Oil pastel
China markers
Brush and ink
Rapidograph pens
Conte crayon
Someday I'll get my ass in gear and photograph or scan more of my work,
but don't hold your breath too long.

L While in my hometown
of Chestertown, MD, my father persuaded me to create some kind of album cover for the
daughter of Sue Ras, his longtime employee. I had fun with it, and if Michelle and
Ray Ray Owens ever happen to put their custom album cover under a
black light, they
too will have fun with it
