| This image originated as a patterned window painting with a series of these salmon "swimming" up the first avenue window of Patagonia. I created the window painting as requested by Patagonia to decorate the store for an environmental promotion centered on the plight of the salmon. The Art Director visited Seattle from Ventura and liked the image so much that she decided to make a t-shirt from it. Stencils were cut and sent to all the stores so that they could paint the same mural on their windows. The salmon and the journey they take have always been an inspiration to me. This painting tries to represent the two sides of the creature, the seen and recognizable portion of the fish above water, and the spiritual, symbolic unseen side. An edition of 1000 t-shirt prints of this design were printed by clothing maker patagonia, and sold exclusively through their retail stores. Image adapted from a window painted mural of these salmon swimming up the company's Seattle storefront on first avenue. This glass painting project was only one of several such temporary mural installations completed by Mr. Hart during his tenure at Patagonia. The test run of shirts bore a red logo. 1000 shirts were produced in 1995. One lucky collector has a signed shirt, the rest bear no signature. |

| This is a painting
entitled "The folds between". It is an oil on paper drapery study
completed in 1990. The masks were purchased as part of a lot at an
estate sale, and I believe they add a nice duality, or balance to the painting. Collection the artist. |

| This was a contrast study on the same drapery.
I started experimenting with household enamels as fine art media, as the black on
this image is enamel. I found it invariably left the edges of areas with a much more
expressive feel. Collection the artist. |

| Speaking of
expressive, I had so much fun doing the previous study that I wanted to try a full force
expressive rendition of the same material Collection the artist. |
