After discovering that the blower in the bottom seemed to increase the temperature inside the box, Brady and Dave rigged some baffling to keep its intake and exhaust separate.  With baffles in place, the blower does reduce the temperature inside and move a lot of air through the unit.  The blower's white noise is enough to keep Dave from running it except when it's particularly warm.

One complication introduced by the huge cabinet was where to place the wireless networking base station (access point) that wouldn't be blocked by the huge metal cabinet and the gear inside.  We settled on mounting it on the second floor near an existing network connection for Brady's desk.
